Reconstruction is built to help you through a difficult period — the last thing it should do is treat your personal data carelessly. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what we collect, why, and how you can delete it.
When you create an account, we store the information needed to run the app and sync it across your devices:
We do not collect payment information, contacts, location, or browsing history.
Reconstruction uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Device Activity, Managed Settings) to block distracting apps and to alert you when you've spent too long on them.
The specific apps and categories you choose to block or monitor are handled entirely on your device through Apple's own privacy-preserving system — Reconstruction never sees which apps they are, and this selection is never sent to our servers. It's tied to your device, not your account, which is also why it has to be set up again if you switch phones.
Your data is used solely to run the app for you: keeping your sprint and tasks in sync across your devices, sending the reminders you've asked for, and showing your progress. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Your account data is stored with Supabase, our backend and database provider, which acts as our data processor. No other third party has access to it. We do not use any advertising or analytics SDK in the app.
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and everything tied to it — sprints, journal, tasks, settings — at any time from Settings → Delete my account. This action is immediate and irreversible.
Reconstruction is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
You can access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time from within the app. If you'd like help with any of this, or have a question we haven't answered here, just reach out — see contact details below.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Reconstruction after a change means you accept the updated policy.
